Our community project

Please join us, especially  you kiddos, and let's make an impact in  the lives of those people who might not ask for help.  Bring the bags to the Festival and there will be a collection box for your contribution.  It's the human thing to do.

What we want to do is provide a little comfort to those a little less fortunate.  We want anyone that can, to bring a purse or a backpack, that they are no longer using, that is filled with contents that would bring a little relief to someone on the streets.  Or maybe it will help a woman who left an abusive situation with just the clothes on her back.  Fill the purse or the backpack with lady business products, a bottle of water, lotion or ChapStick, snacks, toiletries, a fuzzy pair of socks, a package of wipes, a roll of Tums, a bandana, a t-shirt, dental products, a beanie or scarf and gloves, or maybe a small gift card to Walmart and maybe a note of encouragement. Kids could even put together a bag for kids with treats and toys and maybe a night shirt. These are just an idea of what you might put in a bag as a present to someone in need.  We will split all of the bags and purses between "Women in Need" and "Fish Ministries" who will distribute them to the ladies and men who come through their agencies.  Those organizations are on the front lines and deal with people in need on a daily basis.  We hope our project will support these valuable organizations and the people they serve in some small way.  This is something even kids can do, after all everybody has access to a closet with a nice purse or a backpack that needs a new life.  We want to provide a little relief for our friends when they could use our help.
